A new tell-all about former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer
says his friends put him on suicide watch when his sex scandal surfaced.
The book by one of Eliot Spitzer’s closest friends, Lloyd Constantine, says there was also talk of treatment for sex addiction for the disgraced governor.
Constantine’s new book is out this week.
“I thought the moment Eliot ceased being governor would be a dangerous time for him to be alone,” Constantine wrote of Spitzer’s last day as governor as his friends put him on suicide watch.
The 287-page book offers the most detailed account yet of Spitzer’s final days, but stays mum about any sexual details regarding so-called “Client 9,” his undercover name as the frequenter of a high-priced call girl named Ashley Dupre.
