Los Angeles Strip Clubs: Three Nevadans among Moto X competitors
Pastrana was on a spring tour for “Nitro Circus,” the MTV show where athletes combine action sports with crazy stunts. His co-star Blake Williams, who has thrived in freestyle motocross since Pastrana shifted his focus to rally car racing a few years ago, teased Pastrana about returning to the event.
“He told me ‘You should come back to X Games and get smoked, old man,’” Pastrana said. “I’m a-year-and-a-half older than him.”
Three Northern Nevadans — Minden’s Matt Buyten and Adam Jones and Carson City’s Mike Mason — were invited to compete in the Moto X competitions.
Buyten is a two-time X Games Moto X Step Up gold medalist and Moto X World Championship gold helmet winner.
Jones, a four-time X Games medalist, is one of the most innovative riders on the X Games roster, having invented the Cordova flip, Stripper flip, Shaolin flip and Corpse flip.
