Los Angeles Strip Clubs: Doubts raised in Travolta gay row after flight log provides alibi
First reports said it was “a mutual decision between two adults”, but a source told the newspaper that the athlete wanted to ensure that their relationship did not distract him from retaining his Olympic titles and smashing his records in London.
His relationship with Slovakian-born Lubica sparked an outcry in Jamaica after some female fans criticised him for choosing a white partner.
The couple hit back, saying they were very happy together. Lubica met Bolt after being introduced to him by a mutual friend, reggae singer Tami Chynn.
Let’s see what happens when the Olympics are over.

Los Angeles Adult Entertainment: First Trailer for GANGSTER SQUAD Starring Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling & Josh Brolin
The Ruben Fleischer directed film which also stars Robert Patrick and Anthony Mackie tells the story of charismatic 1940’s mobster Mickey Cohen and the Los Angeles police detectives that helped take him down.
Los Angeles, 1949. Ruthless, Brooklyn-born mob king Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) runs the show in this town, reaping the ill-gotten gains from the drugs, the guns, the prostitutes and—if he has his way—every wire bet placed west of Chicago. And he does it all with the protection of not only his own paid goons, but also the police and the politicians who are under his control. It’s enough to intimidate even the bravest, street-hardened cop…except, perhaps, for the small, secret crew of LAPD outsiders led by Sgt. John O’Mara (Josh Brolin) and Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling), who come together to try to tear Cohen’s world apart.

Los Angeles Adult Entertainment: Records show difficulty of dismissing teachers
A second special education teacher was placed on paid leave in March 2011 for failing to schedule a classified assistant to help in the restraint of a student who requires daily diaper changing, according to district documents.
The teacher is still working for the district because of a lack of evidence to discipline him, Byrd said.
“There was not enough evidence available and not enough witnesses to prove the case to a point where we could do any actual final discipline,” Byrd said.
The student nearly fell from the changing table and the teacher forcefully hit or pushed her down after she raised her upper body while the teacher was changing her diaper unassisted, the documents said.
Plea agreement
In a case not involving students, a teacher was charged in July 2011 with soliciting a prostitute in Pomona, but was reinstated to his position after he pleaded to a lesser charge.

Los Angeles Adult Entertainment: Morning letters: CIA Yemen feat much more than a ’sting’
In this Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012 file photo, Yemeni armed tribesmen stand guard in front of Ameriyah religious school which was seized by al-Qaida militant in Radda town, 100 miles (160 kilometers) south of the capital Sanaa, Yemen. After years of stalling under its now-ousted leader, Yemen is finally showing resolve in the fight against al-Qaida, aided by the United States, which just scored an intelligence coup by breaking up a new bomb plot there. Keeping things secret (as we did in World War II with ULTRA or in the Cold War, tapping the Soviet’s undersea communication cables) helped keep us abreast of our adversary’s intentions and, in the end, helped win both wars.
News organizations are trivializing this as a “sting operation,” thereby equating it to some minor-level drug or prostitution bust. This is a grave mistake, and one I hope will not come back to haunt us. [More letters on terrorism]

Los Angeles Adult Entertainment: Andrea C. Thompson
If Knight does not prevail in that race, we would join in urging, in light of her admirable qualities, that she be appointed to the Superior Court.
ATTHEW SCHONBRUN is the third candidate in the race. He is a deputy Los Angeles city attorney.
Schonbrun prosecutes misdemeanors; Thompson and Knight prosecute felonies. Displaying advocacy skill, he argues, with gusto, that he isn’t operating on a lower level than they because he prosecutes as misdemeanors some offenses that are so serious that they could also be prosecuted as felonies (“wobblers”). He also points out that he prosecutes offenses, such as prostitution, which many jurors don’t believe should be crimes, rendering his job harder than that of a deputy DA prosecuting someone for murder, which everyone agrees should be classed as a crime.

Los Angeles Adult Entertainment: Panel Needs More Time to Craft LA Condom Policies
… It will be an insurmountable task to identify the real producers for an industry that is worldwide,” he said.
Duke, meanwhile, said that the ordinance is a “different type of censorship” that is filled with constitutional issues.
Gelbard echoed Duke’s take on the ordinance, saying the statute is unconstitutional, that it is content-based regulation of speech and will never survive strict scrutiny, a standard of judicial review for a challenged policy where the court presumes the policy to be invalid unless the government can demonstrate a compelling interest to justify the policy.
The delay in crafting the enforcement leg of the ordinance was openly criticized by McGrath, the only AIDS Healthcare Foundation rep in the audience, which numbered about a dozen. McGrath also complained to the panel about creating a “permissive fees” structure for adult entertainment film permits.
